My Postpartum Weight Loss Journey- Post 7

I am now almost at the end of my weight lost journey using the Medifast Go program and I’m so excited to show you my results! I am not revealing my final weight loss number until next week when I’m officially done with the program but I will share my before and after pictures now! I don’t see a HUGE difference in my pictures but before I got down on myself about that I had to remind myself that I had 15 lbs to lose to get to my pre baby weight which isn’t a ton of weight to lose in the first place which makes it harder to see drastic results! But I do see a difference in how I look and that makes me happy, but what makes me even happier is what I’ve learned through this process.

Here are my 3 biggest lessons that I have learned on my postpartum weight loss journey.

  1. BE NICE TO YOURSELF- for goodness sakes! Your body is amazing and strong and is the whole reason you’re alve- be nice to it and more importantly be nice to yourself about the miraculous body that you have.
  2. Learn to be happy- If you aren’t perfectly happy with where you’re at with your weight- learn to be happy about it and enjoy the ride. I don’t mean that you should just never try to get in shape or never try to lose some weight- I don’t think I will always get there and I think that’s okay because I like to have goals to shoot for. But what I am saying is that don’t let your weight make you unhappy. If it is tearing you down- learn to be happy with who you are and where you are- no matter your size. Enjoy the journey and smile through every bit of it. Life is SO much better when you’re happy.
  3. Make a plan and set goals- one of the largest thing I learned about myself through this journey was that I do not do well when I don’t have a plan and I haven’t set goals for myself. I talked a lot about this in my last postpartum post but I like to set goals even if I don’t quite make them. They give me reason and something to shoot for.
