Happy New Year! I hope it your holidays were filled with joy and you were surrounded by the ones you loved! We spent our New Year unpacking! We moved into our new home on Dec. 30th. It has been crazy but awesome to say the least! Don’t you worry, I will be posting the details of every single room by the end of this month-so stay tuned! But to hold you over, this post has a little sneak peak of our bedroom! Which right now is totally my favorite room in the house. For this postpartum weight loss post, I’m talking all about the importance of setting goals…. even you don’t always keep them!
Yeah, you read that right! I set goals and sometimes I don’t quite keep them. But what keeps me successful in life (sometimes haha) is the fact that I still set them. This always gives me something to reach for and something to work towards. Which is better than not working towards anything at all. I also really can’t get too down on myself for not hitting my goals. Life is way way way too short to be so negative about yourself and your capabilities.

During the holiday season I set a goal to stick to my healthy Medifast meals during the week, every single week but let myself indulge on the weekends….because I am incapable of going through the whole holiday season without some pecan pie, lets be honest :). And I stuck to it all the way until last week. When we were moving it just got way too stressful and way too convenient to eat out. I did not stick to my goals. But I have been doing EXTRA good this week and I’m not down on myself for it!
I am the type of person who has to write down my goals! Anyone else feel me? I don’t know what it is about a pen and paper that makes me feel so much more organized and on top of my goals! If you haven’t already, I would try getting a planner and actually writing down your goals. It has been life changing for me!
What helps you stay on track with your goals? I would love to hear any and all advice!
