So…I get really cold in the winter time, like really cold and I live in Utah so it’s just not a good combo! I have narrowed my problem down to two possible causes- 1. I have bad circulation or 2. I am just big a wuss! Either way, I have been known to layer and layer and layer on the clothes/coats during winter because finding really warm coats are just expensive. I’m not one to spend more than $50-$60 dollars on any item of clothing so I ended up layering so much that I just looked like a big marshmallow. However, two years ago I found a really warm coat and now I don’t have to layer on as much to stay warm…go figure! So I’m here to give you my 3 best tips on finding cute, warm, and inexpensive winter coats!
My 3 best tips on finding cute, warm, and inexpensive winter coats:
1. Shop the after Winter sales- these start in January or February. I know, I know you’re saying “but it’s almost November and i’ts getting cold- I need one now!” this is just one of those “for future reference” tips! When I got my super warm coat two years ago, I got it in mid January when all of the winter apparel had gone on sale for 50% off plus I had an extra 20% off coupon so I got it for 70% off! Such a steal and totally worth it because I still wear and love that coat today!
2. Shop at Shopko– they have some of the very best prices that I have ever seen on outdoor apparel. Plus their selection is insane! I found 15 different coats that were all under $60 (although they typically retail from $100-$200) and incredibly warm…. I know because I tried them, loved them, and bought two! You can also find a lot of Black Friday pricing online that day so keep an eye on those! My family and I have been Black Friday shoppers for a few years now and they always always always have coats for the whole family on Sale!
