When Evie was about 3 months old she started to get EXTREMELY scarlet red cheeks. She had them for weeks and they looked so painful. We thought maybe she was teething but we found out that that wasn’t the case, we tried trying to shield her little face better when we took her outside into the cold but that didn’t help either! Finally my mom asked me if I was wiping her face with baby wipes. As a total naive, first time mom I was wiping her face with baby wipes and it was drying out her poor little cheeks! I felt so bad! I just didn’t even think about the effects that the chemicals from the wipes might have on a baby’s soft, delicate skin.
This was when I went looking for different wipes to use. If these wipes were wreaking so much havoc on my Evie girls cheeks, then it can’t be good to be used anywhere on her body. This is what I found:
