So I live in Utah, why did I chose Hawaii as my necklace? Well you see Hawaii means a whole lot to me. My hubs and I went to Hawaii on our honeymoon nearly 6 years ago (ugh I am getting old!). It was the most perfect Honeymoon a girl could ever ask for and often my hubs jokes that he wishes he wouldn’t have taken me there for our honeymoon because he can’t ever top that and… it’s true. No matter what vacation I have gone on since then nothing has ever quite compared to Hawaii.
When we arrived in Hawaii it was around 5 p.m so we decided to take a walk on the beach and see what there was to eat close by. We walked about a half a mile away from our hotel and found an adorable little cafe that was a few yards off of the sand. The waitress sat us right on the edge with a perfect view of the sunset and an adorable Hawaiian man serenaded us with love songs as we ate…. now do you understand my obsession? That’s pretty much how the whole rest of the vacation went, just absolutely perfect. After years of begging, my hubs has agreed to take me back for our 10 year anniversary but we have to save, save, save. Wearing the Hawaii state necklace around my neck helps me to always remember what I have coming my way with some hard work and perseverance. Plus whenever I see that “Hawaii” around my neck it takes me back to that perfect week and I can always put a smile on my face with those memories in my mind.
