At the fantastic Galentines day party that Michelle from The Mumsy Blog threw, she told us to channel our own “dancing lady” emoji and come in our best red dress and festive bling. It was such a cute idea to do an emoji theme and an even cuter idea to have the guests come dressed like something specific to resemble the theme.
One of the best parts of the party was the photo op station that Michelle had set up, it’s such a fantastic idea to provide your guests with a cute way to take pictures to really remember the party by and to, duh, post on social media, everyones favorite thing! So here are some of my tips on how to create a really fun and easy photo op station for your guests at any party you might have!
- If you’re going with a dress codes, ask your guests to wear things that are easy for them to find or things that they might have in their closet. shabby apple provided all of our fantastic red dresses for our outfits and they currently have a ton of red dresses on hand for Valentine’s. That would be a fantastic place to give as an option to your guests to shop if they don’t already have a red dress on hand.
- Provide your own accessories for guests to wear at the photo station. shop & apparel provided all of our accessories and they seriously have the BEST accessories. They are unique, fun, cute, and perfect for the Galentines Dancing Red Lady theme. I seriously just couldn’t get enough of them.
- Provide photo booth props that resemble the theme of your party. To keep things simple, stick with solid colored backgrounds or something as easy as crepe paper a simple banner, or balloons. There are so many fun and festive props you can find at the dollar isle in Target or other discount stores. Michelle is also a fantastic inspiration for creating the best easy and simple themed photo booths! You can see a few that she has done here and here.
My fantastic Eyelashes are done from my favorite lash girl, Lindy Williams at Extensions By Lindy. Guys, she’s honestly amazing. She even sells her own amazing line of lash products so you can look into that if you are a lash artist yourself.
All pictures were taken by the ever so talented roxana b photography.
I truly love you all and hope you have an amazing Valentines week!
