So I guarantee that I’m not the only wife who struggles finding anything for the hubs that he’ll actually want for Christmas. It does absolutely no help to ask him either (am I right?) Whenever I ask my business minded hubs what he wants for Christmas, he gives me his classic response “Uhhh I don’t know, I would just rather save the money.”
But this year I found the perfect gift, its fun, thoughtful, low in price, and 100% useful. No, I’m not pulling your leg here! A gift that perfect does exist.
The theme of my gift was “I love you in the past, the present, and the future.” I’m including a gift that represents the each of those times. These items would be great gifts separately or all together. Here are the three simple items that I included:
1. PAST: {$2.50 for the frame and picture print} One of our favorite engagement pictures. On the back of the picture I wrote him a special note, containing one of my favorite memories of that time. Every once in a while its so fun to take a walk down memory lane.
2. PRESENT: Nautica Blue Gift Set– {$20} It includes the cologne and deodorant spray which is perfect for my hubs, he uses both of them religiously! Out of all of the senses, smell is the most powerful. Just getting a whiff of a certain fragrance can help you remember specific memories of people, places, and things that you love. I included this fragrance because this is the fragrance that he was wearing the day we got married. Whenever I smell it it’s like I get transported right back to that day and I love it. I know that this will mean a lot to him.
3. FUTURE: {13.00} I got him one of those day by day calendars where you rip off the pages. Every night I am going to write him a note on the calendar page for the next day. So when he wakes up in the morning he will turn to a new day and get a new note from me! I plan to write some inspirational quotes, funny memories, many many I love you’s, etc for a whole year. This is a perfect way to tell your hubs (or significant other) that you’re thinking about them every day.
I got the cute box at Walmart for {$5} and filled it with red burlap {$3 for a roll}. The box if the perfect size for him to put on his desk and use as a pen and paper organizer, a key holder, or basically anything he wants! See, even the “wrapping” is useful :). The total price of the gift (wrapping and all) was: $43.50
I got the Nautica Blue Gift Set at Walgreens. It was only $20, I couldn’t even believe how cheap for such nice gift! It’s really easy to find as well, they have all of their gift sets displayed right as you walk in the store.
So what are you getting your loved one for Christmas? I would love to see what memorable gifts you create with one of these gift sets!
